Real Estate Photography Home Prep Checklist

Preparing to sell your home can be stressful and time-consuming, and the day of the photoshoot is usually filled with anxiety. This is your opportunity to show your property in a way that makes a buyer want to make it their home.  And while you’ve built countless memories in the home, you want to make it easy for a buyer to see the possibilities for their future in it.

Here’s what to expect for your photo shoot.  When your photographer arrives, they’ll walk through the home and spend some time figuring out the most important aspects of the house to showcase.  Our goal at Elevate Aerial and Photography is to find the stories and show the buyer what is possible. And since every photographer/videographer is an artist, you’ll get significantly more out of their services if your house is ready when they arrive.

When photographers have to rearrange items and tidy up rooms they can get distracted and this slows down the process.  They should focus on highlighting the home, not preparing it; this is where the “Preparing Your Home For Photography Checklist” comes in.

Using this checklist takes the guesswork out of what needs to be done and helps minimize the stress over this significant step.  Follow the items and you can relax knowing that the photographer will be doing their best to highlight the unique features of the property.
